Orthodontics requires a diagnosis before an appliance — which teeth need to move, in which direction, against what skeletal pattern. Dr. Oh plans each orthodontic case personally from full diagnostic records rather than fitting a standard appliance and adjusting as it goes.

Because the same clinic handles general, restorative and surgical treatment, patients in long courses of care are not passed between practices. If a tooth needs a filling during orthodontic treatment, it is dealt with here.

How we work

• Examination before recommendation. No treatment is proposed before imaging and an examination. Quotes given without an X-ray are guesses.
• You see what we see. Findings are reviewed on screen with you, with the X-rays and intraoral photographs visible.
• Written plans with prices. You leave the consultation with a plan you can take away and think about.
• Urgent and non-urgent are separated. We tell you what genuinely needs doing now and what can be monitored.
• English throughout. Diagnosis, options, consent and aftercare are all explained in English for foreign patients.

The clinic

The practice is on the fourth floor of the Diverbita building on Jwadong-ro, in the Jangsan area of Haeundae — a residential district with a substantial international community, close to Haeundae Beach, Jangsan Market and Centum City. Digital X-ray, 3D CT imaging and digital intraoral scanning are used routinely, which reduces both radiation exposure and the number of physical impressions needed.

Patients we see

Foreign residents living in Haeundae, Jangsan, Centum City and Marine City; international teachers and their families; professionals on assignment in Busan; and visitors who develop a dental problem during a trip. We also treat Korean patients, and the standard of care is the same for both — the difference is only the language the explanation happens in.

A note on what we do not do

We do not offer treatment we cannot complete well within the time a patient has, and we do not recommend cosmetic work as a substitute for treatment that would address the actual problem. If a case is better served by a specialist hospital department, we will refer you rather than attempt it.
